Finally I managed to read the book many of my colleagues were mad about. To be very honest, I was not not impressed with the first part of the book when I started. But, later one I discovered how keenly that author had created an inseparable link between the first few long chapter and the fast flowing secound part of the book. I finally realised, how important for a reader to have a detailed comprehension about the context to feel a story, to see it in the eyes of the people in the story. I loved the way how Tamba gradually transforms to George, the moral, ethical, social, cultural and spiritual transformations comes into his life over the period of his life. And, most importantly, how he uses the best out of preexisted values and acquired values to see the challenges of life differently and fight it till the very end and win. Amazing story, carefully narrated with a sensitive voice, and the language is simple yet deep.
