Even in Paradise is a story of a scholarship student at a prestigious boarding school. She becomes besties with the daughter of a wealthy, powerful family with a tragic past. She finds love, and learns that money cannot buy happiness. Sound familiar? It is a staple formula for beach reads and young adult books. Little in the way of real character development. Pleasant, but forgettable.
