Pitter Pattern, by Joyce Hesselberth is an engaging introduction to types of patterns found in everyday life and in nature.  Children will find the examples interesting and personally relevant and will most likely be eager to spot some patterns themselves.  Hesselberth deftly inspires readers to consider all the different places patterns occur naturally and ways patterns can be created by us.  Cheerful illustrations make this story a real winner!
