When Earth First! started I found it interesting because it started out quite radical and to be without compromise. After a decade it lost its integrity and power. So far The Wildist Institute is doing a better job. "The Foundations of Wildist Ethics" written in the Hunter/Gatherer newsletter of The Wildist Institute is a great essay. This variant of Deep Ecology seems to be more promising than any other environmental movement I have seen.

This publication has shown a lot of promise so far. First issue had contributions from David Ehrenfeld (author of The Arrogance of Humanism) and Paul Kingsnorth (founder of the Dark Mountain Project). The editor of the magazine also wrote an extremely impressive essay, "The Foundations of Wildist Ethics," that explained the radical environmentalist perspective on conserving human nature better than any other piece I've read. I'll definitely be keeping up with this periodical.
